Emily Gagnepain
Welcome to my portfolio!!
- I’m based in Indianapolis, IN and I’m a sophomore at Butler University.
- In the summer, I live in St. Louis, MO.
- I’m a Creative Media and Entertainment + Strategic Communication double major!
- I study a variety of connected areas, such as digital communication and marketing, graphic design, and different aspects of production like videography, photography, motion graphics, and post-production.

My Specialties:
(from most to least skilled / examples for many of these under ‘My Work!’)
01
Adobe Software
I’ve been using After Effects for 6 years and have almost mastered it. I also have proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom, and I’m a beginner in Illustrator.
02
Motion Graphics
After learning After Effects for 6 years, I’ve become proficient in creating motion graphics and visuals that can be used on social media, film, and more.
03
Graphics Creation
I’ve been self-teaching myself Photoshop and Illustrator for the past few years and have used these to create pieces in personal and professional areas. For example, I’ve crafted a few posters for myself and friends as well as creating many graphics highlighting events and holidays for social media accounts for a company I interned with.
04
Post-Production + Editing
Due to my vast knowledge of Adobe software and classes taken at Butler, I know a lot about film/video editing as well as many post-production techniques
05
Social Media Marketing
While I don’t have a ton of professional experience in this category, I know a lot about it. I’ve run many social media accounts and have worked hard on their upkeep and performance. A few examples are my editing fan accounts on Instagram and Tik Tok that I’ve had for many years and my high school’s cross country Instagram.
06
Photography
In 2024, I got a Canon EOS R100 and have been learning to use it ever since. I have mostly done portrait and travel photography, but I’m currently learning concert photography. I’ve also been learning to edit photos using Photoshop and Lightroom.
